That youtuber just shows an option for those who want to use a 2h build, esp for stam classes that lack an execute aka stam sorc, stam dk, and stam warden, stamplar. It's honestly really sad that stamblade is the only stam class with a class execute
So if you're talking about the most dmg, then no, you wouldn't use a 2h build
Depend.
On min/maxer hand yes, i agree with you.
One thing i dont like in all those build videos/ they dps static target/ they NEVER link their real raid dps
All you need is 30k dps. To compleat all the vet content. Its easy to achieve with any wep so yes, imo play what you like more.
I always wonder if the people who say 30k dps is enough to complete all vet content have actually done so with 30k.
I feel like the statement '30k dps is enough to complete all vet content' is analogous to '4 inches is no big deal, it's how you use it'

'All gods' creatures (you lot) are equal when covered in A1 sauce' -- Old Bosmeri Wisdom - 2h is totally viable in pve, just use your class skills and not your 2h skills.
- Honestly once I stopped worrying about the meta and made what was fun (as long as you can tune it to be viable) the game is way more enjoyable. I’m not talking about s&b on a dps but if you many things are viable and are just as effective with practice. At first I didn’t like the race changes from element type but now I’m mixing up the different damage types and it’s a blast. Doing so still takes diligence, and you should still be ready before heading into group content and do your part.
- One of my crafters is a 2h Warden, other than the 'pet'.. all her points, so far, have gone into crafting. I have run a couple Dolmens and Dungeons with her, just because.. and have had no problems. Now granted it's not many and she has pretty good gear, the best she can make... but she's still pretty low level.
I can only imagine how well a 2h would do if one put points into the 2h skills!Life is about the journey...cause it all ends the same - 2h bow does solid damage but it's not gonna out parse Dw bow.

It's a funny thing. Players who are capable of completing content with 30k DPS (i.e. flawless execution of mechanics) are usually also capable of pulling a lot more than 30k... - 2h bow does solid damage but it's not gonna out parse Dw bow.

So... they're not clearing content with 30k DPS but more? - Breaking off your rotation to avoid aoes, kite, swap targets typically lowers your dps. My dps in high mobility fights is easily 20% less than what it would be in a static fight so they're right about people clearing mechanics with 30kdps typically being able to pull more dps in a more favourable situation.PC-NA | vCragHM | vDSA | Flawless vMA | vMoL | vHoFHM | vASHM | vCR2 | vBRP | vSS | PvP ScrubZookeeper Sarena | Magicka Sorcerer

When I first completed vMA I had about 20-25k dps...
I agree you can't necessarily complete all vet content with 30k dps, but you could with a more balanced build. Like, having 30k dps with everything invested into offense is vastly different than having 30k dps with a more balanced build (more PvP like).
Anyway. That's not even related to 2H, my goal in life is to reach 45k with only external fracture, and I know it's possible, I'm not even using relequen yet (I might have to)... And I'm pretty sure you can manage to do about anything with 45k before trial buffs.PC - EU - France - AD

- I know it would probably never happen but It would be super cool if they added another 2 hand wep that gave the crit passive like daggers, maybe a spear? That's really the only way it would parse closer to dw imo.PC / NA @MellowMagic

We arent talking about what is good for just clearing, we are talking about builds that push the most dps, if you want the most dps, you're gonna have to run dw bow if you want to be competitive and push scores.
If you're just looking for clears, run whatever your raid lead allows
Btw console doesnt have that option and good players will have close results to their target dummy parses since their time on target will be better than those with less experience - Funny thing I noticed. I used Dual Wielding, mustered only 17k. Switched to a two-hander, my DPS ramped up to 18k.
... Still not gonna play as a DPS though, Tanking is a lot less stressful. - If ZOS wants to balance dual-wield and two-hander builds for pve, they need to introduce a two-handed weapon that gives crit just like daggers do. Untill then, daggers will be stronger and will be preferred in groups that go for completion/scores. For any other type of run, it should be okay to bring two-handers
Ooh oooh a Scythe
More people that have no idea how to play the game. This is a role-playing game. If you are talking about 'meta', then quite simply you have no idea what you are doing. The problem is the ESO community has an extreme absurd obsession with the meta.
It's basically this 'NO! The game can only be played this way! This is the only way to complete the content!'- If ZOS wants to balance dual-wield and two-hander builds for pve, they need to introduce a two-handed weapon that gives crit just like daggers do. Untill then, daggers will be stronger and will be preferred in groups that go for completion/scores. For any other type of run, it should be okay to bring two-handers
I vote rework passives to add like 3-5% with a 2 handed skill slottedI'm everything that doesn't belong in the pact but i'm there anyway... - Not including, 2H has much better combat animation, looks more fluid and realistic, all versions, ace, mace and swords have amazingly detailed designs. DW... ugh, sure maybe BiS, but is it really? The animation looks like my 5year old out in the back yard after watching the old 70s spiderman show while swatting at a fly if it was animated in the 1800s using rocks. All DW items, all... but Cadwell's 'Dagger' just looks horrid and plain. Probably why shields look so much better as well, to distract from how terrible 1handed weapons look.
Sure, DW may put out more dps, but, is it worth looking like a broken manichean ballerina with a broom shoved in your 'storage bag'?
Dude, i feel the complete opposite entirely. I cant get away from DW. 2H feels incredibly clunky and the weapon models are gigantic, way out of proportion and way too heavy looking for most characters to wield effectively.CP1,200+Master Explorer - AvA Praetorian - Console Peasant

Skin them with 2h sword from soul shriven style. Problem solved, now they look slim and proper, and yet heavy enough as you'd normally expect from 2handers.

- Only usable on targets 20% or less health. 2 charges, 9 second cooldown. Generates 15 insanity. If the target dies within one second of casting, generates an extra 15 insanity. Shadow Crash – Hurls a shadow projectile that deals 125% spell damage and generates 20 insanity on cast. 20 second cd; AS is the default talent of this row.
- Barb gives 12 ap what is like 3 more dmg with MH and some more dmg with offhand wep + 2 bigger weapon dmg = bigger sinister crits. And the shadow dmg of Shadow Fand is 4-8. And the 30 dmg procc comes like 1 time a year so i would really prefer Cruel Barb. But it's just my opinion (.
